On the 27th of January 2022, Telem Avidor (ESR1) and Florent Jubé (Project Manager) participated to the outreach event "La Nuit Blanche des Chercheurs" ("Researchers' All-night Session"), organised by Nantes Université and the venue Stéréolux.

At first sight the exercise could look easy: presenting on stage in 5 to 7 min the floating wind technology. But such short time means Telem and Florent had to prepare an impactful and dynamic presentation while using simple and comprehensive words in order to maintain the audience interested.
In order to tackle this challenge, they presented in the form of a dialogue to ensure interaction between them. First they showed the interest of going offshore (stronger and steadier winds) for wind turbines, then presenting why floating is more and more relevant in high-depth seas.
They concluded by presenting some of the research performed in Centrale Nantes, using the practical example of the SEM-REV test site.
After the mini-conference Telem Avidor said:
It was a bit stressful at the beginning, but finally I had a really nice experience. I learned a lot by preparing the presentation, and I worked on my communication skills while doing some dissemination on the floating wind energy, which is not so much known in France despite its huge potential.
